University of Utah Marriott Library Library Departments Student Computing Labs Mac Help Media Editing

Audio/Video Media Editing [2005.12.05]

Every Mac supported by the Student Computing Labs contains software to import, edit and export certain types of audio/video media. For example, you can import, edit and export your Digital Video at any normal Mac with iMovie or Final Cut Pro, if you already have a DV camcorder and the proper FireWire cord.

There are six Media Editing Macs (MVMac-1 thru MVMac-6) in the far back corner of the Marriott Library Multimedia Center which are meant to provide additional support to the Audio/Video Editing capabilities already on the other Macs. These stations have VCRs, TV monitors, a music keyboard, microphones, and many other additional features not commonly found with the rest of the Macs.

This documentation will provide the necessary steps to properly use the equipment and computer software.
