All apple computers are equiped with build-in iSight cameras in the student computing lab except the iMac G5's & Power Macintosh G5s. iSight cameras are build-in in room 1745 but are secured in room 1725 to the instructors' stations in the Marriott Library Multimedia Center teaching labs listed below:
Note: Please do not try to move, over-rotate, or over-elevate the iSight. Doing so may damage the stand, the swivel mount, or the camera itself. OperationNo one is ever watching you unless you specifically connect to another computer with a video conferencing application like iChat or Marratech. iChat allows two or more users to chat, Marratech allows many users to chat as well as share Microsoft Office documents. Please note that a camera or microphone is not required to chat with either program and that someone with a camera or microphone can chat with someone without either one.
Other applications that take advantage of the iSight are located in:
Video/image capture software includes: EvoCam, GCam, iMovie, iStopMotion, KeyCamX, MiracleSight, SightSaver, ToySight Demo, and uGrabit. These applications will capture the video stream from the camera and either allow you to save the stream as a video file (QuickTime or DV), as images, or display it as a screensaver. They will also let you upload them to web servers as webcam images. TroubleshootingIf you are having difficulties activating the iSight, please do the following:
