iChat AV is a multi-function communications application. Besides using it to simply "Chat" with your "buddies" three rows over, you can use it to transfer files either to them or to others halfway around the world. Tired of typing? Use iChat AV with a lab Mac or an Internet Kiosk and take advantage of the microphone to actually talk to your friends. The application, however, allows you to do even more. For example, on a lab Mac with an iSight camera, you can video conference with another person. Use this feature to collaborate on class projects, carry out interviews, or spend some time with your family.

• Launch iChat AV & choose account type (AIM or .Mac)
• Turn on Rendezvous to chat with "buddies" in the same lab
• Setup Camera or microphone if available
• For Audio Chat use iMac or Internet Kiosks
