Mac Help — Citrix ICA Client Configuration for Library Databases |

If you discover that you are unable to, however, you will need to configure your Internet browser so that it will work with the client when you access a Citrix database. Next, enter the corresponding information in the blank fields as shown below in the two examples. The example on the left shows the information for ".ica" files. This is the type used for the Library Databases. The example on the right shows the information for ".asp" files. This is another Citrix compatible file format and may be used by other databases. Please note that for "File Type" and "Handling" you will need to "Browse" your system for the Citrix ICA client software so that Explorer will "know" where it is located.
When you have finished creating these entries, click "OK" to close the "Edit File Helper" window. Click "OK" again to close the Preferences window. Netscape (back to top)
By selecting the check box and then selecting "OK", the browser will automatically open any ".ica" files using the Citrix ICA Client that you download from this point on. If you need to, you can modify this setting at a later date by opening up the browsers preferences as shown below:
Mozilla/Firefox/Camino (back to top) When you download a ".ica" file for the first time on either Mozilla or Firefox, the browser will automatically launch a "Download Manager" window that asks you one of the following:

Camino, another Mozilla group browser, does not give you the option of opening the file up automatically with the Citrix ICA Client. Each time you download a ".ica" file, the browser will display the "Download Manager" window shown below. To view the ".ica" file using the Citrix ICA Client, select "Open".
